Winemaker Notes
As the house cuvee, Thea’s Selection is a blend of fruit sourced from all seven of their organic, estate vineyards that span three different Willamette Valley AVAs. As such, it is a wonderful representation of the vintage across all of their sites. The nose is inviting with blueberry and blackberry fruit that is nuanced by subtle spice notes of black licorice, black tea, cinnamon and graham cracker. The rich, silky tannins give in to a long and robust finish that leaves the taste of black cherries and dark chocolate lingering on the palate.
Critical Acclaim
All VintagesCherries, watermelon, stewed strawberries, mocha and nutmeg on the nose. It’s medium-bodied with powdery tannins and spicy, cedary character. Polished. Drink now or hold.
Refined and structured, offering pinpoint black cherry, savory spice and black tea flavors that build tension and tannins on the finish. Drink now.
Dark red. Cherry and black raspberry scents are accompanied by emerging spice and floral accents. Round and subtly sweet, offering juicy red and dark berry and spicecake flavors that deepen steadily through the back half. Closes long and smooth, with repeating spiciness, a hint of licorice and subtle tannic grip. Best after 2023.

Lemelson Vineyards began as a dream - a dream to create a winery that celebrates innovation in technology, sustainability through nature, and tradition in winemaking.
Eric Lemelson started Lemelson Vineyards with the intention of building something that would not only serve their consumers, but also the longevity of the pristine state that he calls home. Utilizing organic farming methods and gravity flow production, they craft estate grown Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Riesling from some of the finest vineyards in the Willamette Valley.
Their commitment to the process extends to all facets of the winery life and ensures that all living components be they land, vine, or human - are well cared for. It’s their belief that the glass you’re enjoying at home starts before vines were ever planted. The process from planting to drinking must be nurtured at all steps.
When you drink Lemelson wine, you are not only drinking an elegant expressive Oregon Pinot, you’re taking part in their journey to protect the earth for generations to come and they thank you for that.

Home of some of the planet’s most amazingly elegant and expressive Pinot noir, the Willamette Valley is a pastoral, mixed landscape of green, bucolic rolling hills, dramatic forestlands and small, independent, friendly wine growers. As a leader in environmental stewardship, the valley has some of the nation’s most protective land use policies, with two-thirds of its vineyards farmed sustainably and over half, organically. While the valley claims a cool, continental climate, and is heavily influenced by the cold, moist winds of the Pacific Ocean, its warm and dry summers allow for the steady, even ripening of Pinot noir.
The potential of Willamette Valley Pinot noir continues to attract the investment of serious growers and winemakers both locally and from abroad, as naturally the finished wines bring accolades from professionals and enthusiasts. With a range of styles from delicate dried cherry, raspberry and hibiscus to stronger notes of truffle, mocha, plum and spice, a fine Willamette Valley Pinot noir is a perfect expression of both character and grace.
