Winemaker Notes
Straw yellow with golden nuances. Complex and elegant on the nose with light hints of vanilla. Dry and structured. The balanced acidity is noteworthy.
Pairs well with appetizers, tartare, fish and white meats, fresh or semi-aged cheeses, soups, risotto, fried and roast meat.

Vinous
The 2021 Vernaccia di San Gimignano L'Albereta Riserva is brooding in the glass, with a burst of crushed rocks, oyster shells, ground ginger and pears forming its inviting bouquet. Soothingly round and supple, this displays notable weight while maintaining a pleasant balance as masses of mineral-tinged orchard fruits settle on the senses. It finishes salty and long, with a whiplash of acidity to add freshness as hints of lime and sour melon slowly fade.

A fresh, succulent and lively white with aromas of lemons, dried herbs and mild spices on the nose. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity. Crunchy green apple character on the palate, with a vibrant citrusy influence. Well driven and flavorful. From organically grown grapes.
Vernaccia's intricate history is rooted in San Gimignano. The idyllic countryside upon which this vine grows was actually named Italy’s first DOC in 1966. Somm Secret—The 13th century marks its first written record and the grape was celebrated widely in literature, namely poems by Dante and Franseco Redi.
Producing some of Tuscany’s best white wines based on its own variety called Vernaccia, San Gimignano is a small appellation to the west of Chianti centered around the romantic village of the same name. Vernaccia produces a fruity and floral white with plenty of verve on the palate and often a fresh note of raw almond.
