Winemaker Notes
Bright straw in color, it has an intense and fruity nose, in which stone and citrus fruits as well as white flowers are prominent. It has a mineral background and slight hints of fennel and freshly cut grass. In the mouth it is very creamy, fruity, and elegant, with its characteristic mineral and slightly saline notes, which together with the acidity give it a fresh and persistent finish.
Ideal for appetizers, fish, and seafood. We love to enjoy it with Galician a feira-style octopus.

This medium straw-colored wine exhibits aromas of peach, Golden Delicious apple, lemon zest and thyme. Passion fruit, green apple, orange blossom, sage and flint flavors are set into a well-textured wine with gorgeously integrated acidity. A note of bergamot flower adds a flavorful layer to the brilliant finish.

A refreshing godello showing hints of warm stone and oyster shell minerals to the green apple and lime citrus characters. Crisp and dry on the palate with tangy high acidity and a bright, mouthwatering finish.
Godello is native to northwest Spain and has experienced a major revival in the last 20 years. Godello wines are typically sleek and lightly creamy in texture. Barrel fermentation and lees stirring are typical in Valdeorras, Spain where the grape comes from. These winemaking techniques make the most of Godello's inherent structure and help bring out its lovely floral character. Somm Secret—DNA profiling says that Spain’s Godello is actually identical to the Portugese grape variety Gouveio, which grows throughout the Douro and Dão (where it used to mistakenly be called Verdelho).
One of the few northwestern Spanish regions with a focus on a red variety, Bierzo, part of Castilla y León, is home to the flowery and fruity Mencia grape. Mencia produces balanced and bright red wines full of strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate, baking spice, pepper and black licorice. The well-drained soils of Bierzo are slate and granite.
