Winemaker Notes
Intense ruby-red in color with garnet highlights, Corbaia offers jammy aromas of black currants, cherries, and cassis backed by hints of tobacco, mocha, and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is full-bodied yet supple and layered with a rich texture and well integrated tannins.
Pair this with grilled lamb chops, Bearnaise sauces, meats prepared alla Diavola, and grilled ribeye steaks.
Blend: 70% Sangiovese, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon

Blackcurrants and fresh herbs with spices and berries on the nose and palate. Medium to full body. Sweet fruit in the center-palate and dark-chocolate and spicy undertones at the end. From organically grown grapes. Unfiltered.

The Castello di Bossi 2019 Corbaia is a lovely Tuscan red. This blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc reveals a delicate pace of aromas that unfold slowly with dark fruit, sweet cedar, spice and black plum. There is a pretty warm-climate element to this medium to full-bodied wine that comes across nicely thanks to the generous fruit layering.

The 2019 Corbaia, Castello di Bossi's Sangiovese/Cabernet Sauvignon blend, is terrific. Rich, ample and expressive, the 2019 possesses terrific depth and resonance. Wild red cherry, incense, rose petal, tobacco and cedar flesh out effortlessly. The 2019 is a gorgeous wine. It begs the question: Why aren't the other wines in this range as convincing?
Legendary in Italy for its Renaissance art and striking landscape, Tuscany is also home to many of the country’s best red wines. Sangiovese reigns supreme here, as either the single varietal, or a dominant player, in almost all of Tuscany’s best.
A remarkable Chianti, named for its region of origin, will have a bright acidity, supple tannins and plenty of cherry fruit character. From the hills and valleys surrounding the medieval village of Montalcino, come the distinguished and age-worthy wines based on Brunello (Sangiovese). Earning global acclaim since the 1970s, the Tuscan Blends are composed solely of international grape varieties or a mix of international and Sangiovese. The wine called Vine Nobile di Montepulciano, composed of Prognolo Gentile (Sangiovese) and is recognized both for finesse and power.
