Learn about Cote de Beaune Villages wine, common tasting notes, where the region is and more ...

On the borders of its most revered villages, the Côte de Beaune Villages appellation captures the vineyards within the communes of Beaune, but outside of its Crus. Included are vineyards within Auxey-Duresses, Chassagne-Montrachet, Chorey-lès-Beaune, Ladoix-Serrigny, Meursault, Monthélie, Pernand-Vergelesses, Puligny-Montrachet, St-Aubin, St-Romain, Santenay and Savigny-lès-Beaune.

This AOC dates back to 1937 and includes reds only. Wines can be labeled under the name of the village concerned, the name of the village followed by the words Côte de Beaune or under the appellation Côte de Beaune Villages.

Imminently drinkable, Côte de Beaune-Villages wines, made of Pinot Noir, are supple in texture with black or red fruit characteristics and bewitching aromas of diverse nature: violets, underbrush, mushroom or spice.
