Winemaker Megan Schofield draws on her depth and breadth of experience with nuanced varieties to achieve her vision of crafting a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that gracefully balances ripe, dense fruit with plush tannins. Early in her career, she spent three harvests at Beringer Vineyards, working with a broad range of grape varieties, including the valley’s signature red, Cabernet Sauvignon. She honed her expertise in crafting small-lot Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Sonoma County at Buena Vista and Simi wineries, before returning to Napa as a winemaker for the legendary Robert Mondavi Winery. For Auros, Megan draws inspiration from the diversity of soil types across Napa Valley. She carefully weaves together each vineyard lot to create a seamlessly integrated wine—a wine that both answers the call of what Napa Cabernet Sauvignon can be and delivers an imminently approachable experience on the palate.
