                                  One of the most respected Houses in Cognac is Maison Brillet. Maison Brillet is family- owned and led today by tenth generation President Jean-Louis Brillet. Founded in 1850, the House is known for its hand-crafted, single vineyard, single alembic Cognacs. Using grapes only from vineyards in the regions two top areas, Grande and Petite Champagne, every Cognac is aged in oak barrels (3-10 years for Petite Champagne, 10-100 years for Grande) and bottled without blending. This is very unusual in Cognac as most houses blend wines from several areas. This allows the House to produce extraordinary liqueurs such as the famous and unique pear liqueur, Belle de Brillet, a blend of Poire Williams and Brillet Cognac.
