Bright pale yellow color. The nose is delicately expressive and reveals upon aeration notes of citrus, rock water, fresh fruit and above all a beautiful crystalline mineral sensation. The saline acidity gives the wine a juicy and engaging texture while remaining very precise and racy. It is a wine that leaves a sensation of great purity and elegance, a form of airy lightness but the wine imposes itself with persistence and energy. Very long finish which announces a great wine for laying down.

The flinty minerality of this compact and tightly wound dry riesling is absolutely extraordinary. This, the sleekness and the very racy acidity on the medium-bodied palate make it unique in Alsace. A regal variety of incredible purity and precision, this versatile grape can be just as enjoyable dry or sweet, young or old, still or sparkling and can age longer than nearly any other white variety. First, look for the world “trocken.” (“Halbtrocken” or “feinherb” mean off-dry.) Also a higher abv usually indicates a drier Riesling.
