Weingut Enderle & Moll Winery Image
Founded in 2007 by Sven Enderle and Florian Moll. After a year of preparation, they decided to take the risk in early 2007 and start their own small winery. They got to know each other during our winegrower training, which they both completed between 2003 and 2005 at the Kaiserstuhl. While Sven learned in Oberrottweil at the winery "Bercher-Schmidt", Florian spent his training time at the winery "Höfflin" in Bötzingen. After the apprenticeship, Sven found employment with the organic winery "Dr.Benz" in Kenzingen-Bombach, where he was jointly responsible for the external operation of the winery. Florian went to southern France in the fall of 2005 to secure the desired quality at the Chateau Duvivier mainly in the cellar. During this time, they both came independently for the first time with applied organic dynamics in viticulture in contact, of which some aspects are extremely fascinating and exciting to this day. When Sven got the opportunity in 2006 to lease a small, well-cultivated vine above Münchweier, the foundation was laid for "Enderle & Moll", as it exists today

Thin-skinned, finicky and temperamental, Pinot Noir is also one of the most rewarding grapes to grow and remains a labor of love for some of the greatest vignerons in Burgundy. Fairly adaptable but highly reflective of the environment in which it is grown, Pinot Noir prefers a cool climate and requires low yields to achieve high quality. Outside of France, outstanding examples come from in Oregon, California and throughout specific locations in wine-producing world. Somm Secret—André Tchelistcheff, California’s most influential post-Prohibition winemaker decidedly stayed away from the grape, claiming “God made Cabernet. The Devil made Pinot Noir.”
