James Suckling
Astonishingly expressive for an entry level wine. Everything from flint through to white peach to yellow grapefruit and passion fruit. On the sleek but juicy palate excellent interplay between juicy yellow peach and bright, wet stone acidity. Long, exciting finish. Matured in a wide variety of vessels ranging from small neutral oak to some larger stainless steel tanks. From organically grown grapes.

There’s intensity to the lemon, apple and stone flavors, before this turns quite savory, with dried herb and Fleur de Sel notes. Smooth texture is supported by vibrant structure. Slightly austere on the crisp finish, so try with food.
Riesling possesses a remarkable ability to reflect the character of wherever it is grown while still maintaining its identity. A regal variety of incredible purity and precision, this versatile grape can be just as enjoyable dry or sweet, young or old, still or sparkling and can age longer than nearly any other white variety. Somm Secret—Given how difficult it is to discern the level of sweetness in a Riesling from the label, here are some clues to find the dry ones. First, look for the world “trocken.” (“Halbtrocken” or “feinherb” mean off-dry.) Also a higher abv usually indicates a drier Riesling.
