A Malbec of deep red color with ruby hues. Intense aromas of dark fruit with notes of smoke, mint, spices, thyme, graphite, and licorice. In the mouth, it is fruity and minerally with gripping tannins and a lingering finish.

Dark color. Blackberries with violets and flowers on the nose. It’s full-bodied and tight with firm, silky tannins and a long finish of blueberries and graphite. Inky. Racy and refined. Tight and needs time to open up. High-altitude vines. Try after 2024.

The 2018 Terroir Series Malbec Finca Ambrosía shows ripe black fruit and soft tannins and some toasted aromas and flavors. I found it unusually ripe and was not surprised to see 15.2% alcohol in the documentation, which coupled with moderate acidity and 3.2 grams of residual sugar gave it an unexpected mellow character.
