Winemaker Notes
The nose is marked with a dried herbal elegance, fennel, orange peel and white flower aromas, and a pervasive smoky minerality. A scintillating texture on the palate intertwines with lithe, juicy flavors and piercing acidity before leading into a long, mouthwatering saline finish. An incredible homage to the cool Montsant slopes with enough body, structure and freshness to honor any Mediterranean fare.

Tile, flint, citrus and some apples here. Broad and creamy on the palate with bright, zesty acidity and some fine tannins. Bone-dry on the palate. Skin contact for three days. Stainless steel.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The skin-contact white 2022 Brisat was produced with pure Garnacha Blanca from 15- to 35-year-old vines at 300 to 350 meters in altitude on clay and sandy soils. The cluster fermented for four to six days in stainless steel tanks, where the wine matured for six months. It has 12.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.46. From 2019 or 2020, it is only Garnacha from the south of Montsant, and they try to avoid high alcohol. It has a bright golden color, from a maceration that is not too long, and the stainless steel keeps more freshness with the skins. It's aromatic, expressive and open, with notes of yellow fruit, pollen and herbs. It has a juicy and soft mouthfeel, with freshness and balance, clean, with a dry finish, a little rounder and riper this year.

Vinous
The 2022 Brisat is 100% Garnatxa Blanca from Montsant, fermented with three days of skin contact. Golden in hue, it presents petroleum and tropical notes with a subtle herbal layer. Dry, rich and taut due to the skins, it offers a chalky mouthfeel alongside a light palate. A savory oddity, this is perfect for adventurous wine enthusiasts.
Producing full-bodied white wines, Grenache Blanc can be unctuous and soft or floral and fresh. Some of the finest examples are terroir-driven, age-worthy wines. It is a key ingredient in white Châteauneuf-du-Pape and many white blends across southern France and NE Spain. Somm Secret—Grenache Blanc plays a key role in the vins doux naturels of Rivesaltes and a subsidiary role in those of Banyuls and Maury.
