Brilliant ruby red in color, the 2021 Sketchbook Cabernet Sauvignon has warm aromas of cinnamon, clove, and vanilla balanced by bright notes of fresh tart plum and cassis. On the palate, the wine’s vibrant red fruit is complimented by dark cherry, mulberry, and rum raisin flavors. An approachable full-bodied wine with soft tannins that carry through to a juicy, lingering finish.
Blend: 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 2% Grenache and Syrah

This toasty wine highlights caramel, rich red fruits, red currant and black cherry. With its bright acidity, it will be long lived. The wine balances fruit, acidity and dried herbs, with a gravel influence that brings out the red fruits and acidity. It comes from super-rocky hillsides with a great exposure.

Somm Secret—DNA profiling in 1997 revealed that Cabernet Sauvignon was born from a spontaneous crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc in 17th century southwest France.
