Winemaker Notes

Ruby color with purple hues of good intensity. Complex aromas of ripe fruits as cherries, black cherries and plums. Vanilla, leather, tobacco and spices include black pepper and paprika. Full-bodied, sweet tannins, rich red wine with good balance and complexity. Long lingering finish.

Critical Acclaim

WE 88
Wine Enthusiast

Full and concentrated, with aromas of roasted blackberry, cassis and plum. The palate is solid and offers a pleasant and proper mouthfeel, while the flavors of cassis, raspberry and plum satisfy and come with only a touch of herbal essence. Dark on the finish, with follow through.

Napa Valley

Cabernet Sauvignon

View all wine

The Napa Valley and Cabernet Sauvignon are so intrinsically linked that it is difficult to discuss one without thinking of the other. Although Cabernet has many important outposts throughout the wine world, nowhere else has it achieved such success (and, at the highest end, commanded such lofty prices) than in Napa. Here, it is responsible for bold, opulent, and dark-fruited wines with grippy tannins and a healthy dose of alcohol. The best examples can age for decades. Each of Napa’s smaller sub-AVAs imparts a different character to Cabernet, such as Rutherford’s famous dust or Stags Leap District's tart cherry flavors.
