From a larger vineyard (they pull from a tiny portion of the full site), the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard offers more black fruits and herbal notes as well as background chocolate, graphite, and tobacco notes. It’s sweetly fruited and layered on the palate, with a medium to full-bodied texture, terrific balance, and exceptional purity. It will keep for two decades.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard (all clone 4) hits the ground running with bold blackberries, black cherries and cassis notes plus suggestions of dried herbs, unsmoked cigars and forest floor plus a touch of cedar chest. Full-bodied, with a rock-solid frame of grainy tannins and tons of freshness, it is packed with tightly wound flavors in the mouth, finishing long and earthy. 120 cases were made.

This is a powerful and very structured one with aromas and flavors of dark berries, stones and currant bushes. Full-bodied, juicy and flavored. Drink in 2022.

Wine Spectator
Elegant and generous, with black cherry, plum, olive and herb flavors. Well-proportioned, gaining depth and richness on the finish, ending with grippy tannins. Drink now through 2028. 75 cases made.
A noble variety bestowed with both power and concentration, Cabernet Sauvignon enjoys success all over the globe, its best examples showing potential to age beautifully for decades. Cabernet Sauvignon flourishes in Bordeaux's Medoc where it is often blended with Merlot and smaller amounts of some combination of Cabernet Franc, Malbecand Petit Verdot. In the Napa Valley, ‘Cab’ is responsible for some of the world’s most prestigious, age-worthy and sought-after “cult” wines. Somm Secret—DNA profiling in 1997 revealed that Cabernet Sauvignon was born from a spontaneous crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc in 17th century southwest France.
Situated in the southeastern corner of Napa Valley in the Vaca range, the vineyards of the Coombsville AVA enjoy a long growing season mitigated by cool, San Pablo Bay fog.
