Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The darker, subtler and more complex 2020 Textures de Pedra was produced with a blend of 50% Xarel.lo Vermell, 25% Sumoll and 25% Bastard Negre. It was first produced in 2011 and is the evolution of a wine he called Elisabeth Raventós, an homage to his sister. It was the seed for their first site-specific wine, a blanc de noirs, because it has a majority of red grapes, from two hectares in the Viña Mes Alta. It is becoming their most iconic wine. It comes from a different vintage, 2020, much older and before the change of cycle to much warmer and drier years. There is a jump in quality here; the mouthfeel, chalkiness and persistence are different. It's still showing very young, fresh and lively, with a pungent palate and great persistence.

Vinous
The 2020 Brut Nature Textures de Pedra is composed of 50% Xarel·lo Vermell, 25% Sumoll and 25% Bastard Negre, sourced from Conca del Riu Anoia in Penedès. Aged 42 months on the lees, this light yellow wine reveals aromas of bakery, bay leaf and lime, complemented by deep citrus layers. Dry and ethereal on the palate, the vibrant, saline acidity leads to a refreshing and textured mouthfeel. This joyful and vivid sparkling wine boasts a heightened core thanks to the red varieties in the blend.
Representing the topmost expression of a Champagne house, a vintage Champagne is one made from the produce of a single, superior harvest year. Vintage Champagnes account for a mere 5% of total Champagne production and are produced about three times in a decade. Champagne is typically made as a blend of multiple years in order to preserve the house style; these will have non-vintage, or simply, NV on the label. The term, "vintage," as it applies to all wine, simply means a single harvest year.
A superior source of white grapes for the production of Spain’s prized sparkling wine, Cava, the Penedes region is part of Catalunya and sits just south of Barcelona. Medio Penedès is the most productive source of the Cava grapes, Macabeo, Xarel-lo, and Parellada. Penedes also grows Garnacha and Tempranillo (here called Ull de Llebre in Catalan), for high quality reds and rosès.
