A wine with truffles, berries and dried fruits with hints of dried mushrooms. Full body, with silky tannins and a juicy, fruity finish. Lovely forest floor and fruit character. From the owners of the Bulgari jewelry firm. Classy number here. Pure Sangiovese.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2010 Sotirio rushes to your senses with an immediate blast of intensity and fullness that is really quite remarkable. This pure Sangiovese (aged only in large oak casks) opens with an inky dark color and sharp aromas of brimstone, small forest berry, underbrush, dark tobacco and leather. Although the bouquet is oversized and expressive, the mouthfeel definitely marches to a slower pace. The wine feels streamlined and tight with a direct cleaning effect that is fueled by berry and menthol flavors. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2019.

Wine
Legendary in Italy for its Renaissance art and striking landscape, Tuscany is also home to many of the country’s best red wines. Sangiovese reigns supreme here, as either the single varietal, or a dominant player, in almost all of Tuscany’s best.
A remarkable Chianti, named for its region of origin, will have a bright acidity, supple tannins and plenty of cherry fruit character. From the hills and valleys surrounding the medieval village of Montalcino, come the distinguished and age-worthy wines based on Brunello (Sangiovese). Earning global acclaim since the 1970s, the Tuscan Blends are composed solely of international grape varieties or a mix of international and Sangiovese. The wine called Vine Nobile di Montepulciano, composed of Prognolo Gentile (Sangiovese) and is recognized both for finesse and power.
