Winemaker Notes

Cabernet Sauvignon is the original and oldest planting at Oxford Landing with some vines in excess of 40 years old. These vines are believed to be some of the first planted in the region.

Deep ruby purple with hints of crimson, this wine displays lifted Cabernet aromas of blackcurrant, tobacco leaf and plums with suggestions of blackberries, cedar and violets. The palate is elegantly structured with layers of berry fruits, anise and fruit pastille. Shiraz adds a silky texture and sweetness to the mid palate whilst the Cabernet provides structure and a soft tannin finish. Synergy and elegance.
