The 2016 Rasteau Heritages and the 2016 Rasteau Hélianthe have the same assemblage (74% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 8% each Carignan and Mourvèdre), the same notes provided on vinification and an identical rating (tasted blind). You don't think they could be the same wine, do you? There's a similar greenish note on the nose, plum and mocha flavors and a full-bodied, velvety mouthfeel.

Typically thought of as a baby Chateâuneuf-du-Pape, the term Côtes du Rhône actually doesn’t merely apply to the flatter outskirts of the major southern Rhône appellations, it also includes the fringes of well-respected northern Rhône appellations. Red wine varieties include most of the Chateâuneuf-du-Pape varieties like Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault, and Counoise, as well as Carignan. White grapes grown include Grenache blanc, Roussanne and Viognier, among others.
