Winemaker Notes
The color and fragrance of plum provide an alluring first glance, with gentle notes of strawberry and mocha filling the aroma. Expressive, rich fruit adds elements of blueberries and molten chocolate, while subtle tannins create a silky mouthfeel. The great intensity and complexity of Mollydooker's 2018 Blue Eyed Boy is no exception to its past.

Hints of maple syrup join with chocolate and vanilla on the nose (that's the oak talking), backed up by masses of dark, plummy fruit in the 2018 Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz. Full-bodied, concentrated and intense, it's dense and rich—a dark-chocolate cake of a wine, with layers of black cherries and creamy ganache, ending in a long, plush finish. This won't be for everyone—I'm not sure I'd want to drink more than a glass or two of it—but it's impressive nonetheless.

Spicy, offering cumin, clove and smoked paprika notes that mingle well, with a hint of violet up front. Features toothsome blackberry and blueberry flavors at the core, resulting in a generous finish that shows impressive harmony. Drink now through 2034.
Marked by an unmistakable deep purple hue and savory aromatics, Syrah makes an intense, powerful and often age-worthy red. Native to the Northern Rhône, Syrah achieves its maximum potential in the steep village of Hermitage and plays an important component in the Red Rhône Blends of the south, adding color and structure to Grenache and Mourvèdre. Syrah is the most widely planted grape of Australia and is important in California and Washington. Sommelier Secret—Such a synergy these three create together, the Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre trio often takes on the shorthand term, “GSM.”
Known for opulent red wines with intense power and concentration, McLaren Vale is home to perhaps the most “classic” style of Australian Shiraz. Vinified on its own or in Rhône Blends, these hot-climate wines are deeply colored and high in extract with signature hints of dark chocolate and licorice. Cabernet Sauvignon is also produced in a similar style.
Whites, often made from Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc tend to be opulent and full of tropical, stone and citrus fruit.
