Winemaker Notes
The deep, dark garnet hue of this wine reveals the beauty and power to follow. Enticing dark plum, boysenberry, cinnamon, maple syrup, and the fragrance of clean, wet earth all beckon from the glass. Showing a beautiful harmony on the palate, notes of ripe berry and cherry fruit are accented by hints of black pepper and dark chocolate. Firmly structured yet silky tannins are incredibly well integrated, and the finish is long, luscious, and mouth-watering.
Rich and hearty Braised Short Ribs with sweet potato gratin would complement the structure of this wine nicely, as would juicy Grilled Lamb Loin served with black olive tapenade. If cheese is your desire, try with the Fiscalini Cheese Company’s San Joaquin Gold, a semi-hard, mild, and nutty cow’s milk cheese.

Wine Enthusiast
Tight, leathery and jammy in black cherry and currant, this 100% varietal wine comes from several vineyards, including Linda Vista. Smooth in texture and tannin, it bursts in energetic freshness amidst rich layers of chocolate, clove and sweet tobacco

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Deep garnet-purple in color with a baked berries, potpourri and spices-scented nose plus dusty earth notions, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (a barrel sample) is full-bodied and rich in the mouth with firm, chewy tannins and a long finish.

Together, Rolando and Lorena have built their dream winery with love, passion, and a deep understanding of the art of growing exceptional grapes and crafting award-winning wines rich in character and elegance. Today, their goal is to capture the essence of their six estate vineyards each vintage and to share their passion for handcrafting wines worth dreaming about.
One of the most prestigious wines of the world capable of great power and grace, Napa Valley Cabernet is a leading force in the world of fine, famous, collectible red wine. Today the Napa Valley and Cabernet Sauvignon are so intrinsically linked that it is difficult to discuss one without the other. But it wasn’t until the 1970s that this marriage came to light; sudden international recognition rained upon Napa with the victory of the Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars 1973 Cabernet Sauvignon in the 1976 Judgement of Paris.
Cabernet Sauvignon undoubtedly dominates Napa Valley today, covering half of the land under vine, commanding the highest prices per ton and earning the most critical acclaim. Cabernet Sauvignon’s structure, acidity, capacity to thrive in multiple environs and ability to express nuances of vintage make it perfect for Napa Valley where incredible soil and geographical diversity are found and the climate is perfect for grape growing. Within the Napa Valley lie many smaller sub-AVAs that express specific characteristics based on situation, slope and soil—as a perfect example, Rutherford’s famous dust or Stags Leap District's tart cherry flavors.
