Le Naturel is a collection of wines without any added sulphites, natural wines where the key aspect is intervening as less as possible in both the vineyard and the winery, with the aim of making the grapes do the talking.
The vineyards are located on the northern border of Spain, covered by the mountain range of Urbasa and Andia in the Yerri Valley (Navarra). Vineyards are impacted by Cantabrian sea, high altitude and rich soil, which gives vineyards a strong Atlantic character to the Mediterranean climate. Since planting, the vines have been treated without chemicals.
These wines are made with a light maceration, without any clarifying or filtering and without using any ingredient other than the grape harvested in the vineyard. It demonstrates that nature is the best winemaker.
Grenache thrives in any warm, Mediterranean climate where ample sunlight allows its clusters to achieve full phenolic ripeness. While Grenache's birthplace is Spain (there called Garnacha), today it is more recognized as the key player in the red blends of the Southern Rhône, namely Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes du Rhône and its villages. Somm Secret—The Italian island of Sardinia produces bold, rustic, single varietal Grenache (there called Cannonau). California, Washington and Australia have achieved found success with Grenache, both flying solo and in blends.
Just north of Spain’s famous Rioja region, Navarra excels in the production of full and fruit-dominant reds and good quality, dry rosés. Garnacha holds most of the land under vine, with Tempranillo coming in second place.
