The 2018 Zinfandel Rinaldi has a pale ruby color and segues from tar to dark fruits, pur- ple flowers and crushed rock-like mineral nuances. The palate is medium-bodied and seamlessly structured with broody, floral laced flavors and a long, spicy finish.

Another release from Cohn from Amador County, the 2018 Zinfandel Rinaldi Vineyard sports an almost opaque ruby/plum color to go with impressive red and blue fruits as well as spice, savory herbs, incense, and pepper. Gorgeous on the palate as well, it's medium to full-bodied and has a seamless, elegant texture, present tannins, and a great finish. This is pure, all-star American Zinfandel to enjoy over the coming 4-6 years.

Wine Enthusiast
This deep and full-bodied wine made from organic grapes embodies complexity and nuance while also delivering mouthfilling ripe fruit flavors. Light woodsmoke, white-pepper and pine-forest aromas lead to rich blackberry, black-plum and cherry flavors that are lightly dusted with cinnamon, vanilla and clove notes.
Editors' Choice
Unapologetically bold, spice-driven and jammy, Zinfandel has secured its title as the darling of California vintners by adapting well to the state's diverse microclimates and landscapes. Born in Croatia, it later made its way to southern Italy where it was named Primitivo. Fortunately, the imperial nursery of Vienna catalogued specimens of the vine, and it later made its way to New England in 1829. Parading the true American spirit, Zinfandel found a new home in California during the Gold Rush of 1849. Somm Secret—California's ancient vines of Zinfandel are those that survived the neglect of Prohibition; today these vines produce the most concentrated, ethereal and complex examples.
