Winemaker Notes
This single vineyard bottling from Mike Etzel's Sequitur Vineyard is a four-barrel cuvee from two separate lots. One was fermented carbonically in terracotta amphora with 100% whole cluster emerges with a palate of plum skin, typical of the vineyard, along with secondary flavors of maple and sassafras. The other lot, fermented with 35% whole cluster, offers a lithe buoyancy and dark currant wrapped in Sequitur's characteristic sandalwood.

The 2017 Pinot Noir Sequitur Vineyard, pale ruby in color, slowly opens to aromas of black tea leaves, red and black berries, citrus peel, underbrush and dried flowers. The palate is light-bodied and wonderfully perfumed, juicy and soft with a delicate, lingering finish.
