Winemaker Notes

This wine has intense red and black fruits, with lots of spices and garrigue (local Provence herbs). The tannins are soft and elegant, and more complex aromatics of licorice, truffle and dark chocolate develop with a bit of aging.

Ripe and focused, with a well-defined core of cherry and raspberry pâte de fruit notes, backed by light red tea and garrigue through the finish. Features a nice tug of earth at the end. Grenache and Syrah.

A larger region between Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Tavel, Lirac red wines resemble some of the best Cotes du Rhone Villages wines, while it’s rosés are akin to those of Tavel. The region’s quality whites, based on Bourboulenc, Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne, are round and fruit-driven.
