Winemaker Notes

This wine is entirely produced from the Greek grape variety of Malagousia that was saved from extinction due to the efforts of Vangelis Gerovassiliou. Further to skin contact to enhance the extraction of aromas, it is partially barrel-fermented and then matures on its lees for a few months, gaining depth in flavor and floral aromas. It has a brilliant straw color with greenish shades and an aroma of matured fruit such as pear, mango and citrus. On the palate the rich flavors of lemon peel enhance the appealing mouthfeel, adding a well-balanced finish.

Evangelos Gerovassiliou's malagousia is one of the most sumptuous examples of the grape variety. The 2014 has ripened Into apricot and passion fruit tones, the flavors carried on a silken texture. A slight bitterness, akin to pear skin, works in tandem with the acidity to make this vintage particularly mouthwatering.

A rich white from Greece, with a lively mix of concentrated melon, gooseberry, pear and peach tart flavors, accented by notes of lanolin. Lemon cream and spice details show on the structured finish. Drink now through 2019.
