Winemaker Notes

A deep, concentrated color. The complex aromas of black fruit come from the carefully controlled extraction during vinification and from the exceptional ripeness of the grapes. A wine of distinctive character with all the flavors of ripe fruit, with subtle hints of spices and licorice. Its full, fat body lends it a remarkable elegance.

Best to accompany grilled red meat, tagines, stews and matures cheese.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Of the three Corbieres releases, the 2013 Corbieres Terroir is a smoking value. Made from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre, aged 12 months in 30% new oak, it’s a modern styled fruit bomb that offers tons of chocolate, tobacco leaf, sweet dark fruits and hints of leather. Drink it anytime over the coming 3-4 years.

A significant appellation in the Languedoc region of southern France, Corbières produces impressively dense red wines from Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache and often very old vine Carignan. While rarely mentioned, the region’s fresh dry whites and rosés shouldn’t be overlooked.
