Winemaker Notes
Bright straw-yellow in color with a golden sheen. A highly delicate nose of rare intensity, in which the fruity aroma of the varietal and the scent of honey combined with a hint of vanilla and white chocolate, create a perfect harmony of fragrances. An elegant and balanced palate is offered, with a velvety, rich body; flavors of vanilla, acacia blossoms, honey and dry hay are combined with flowery scents; all ensuring that the wine has a noble and lingering finish.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Now we're talking. The 2007 Trento Metodo Classico Extra Brut Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore (disgorged in 2018) is a pure expression of Chardonnay. The grapes were fermented in stainless steel, and the wine ages in the bottle on its own yeasts for at least ten years. Perhaps the secret of this flagship sparkling wine is the carefully measured atmospheric pressure that is applied. The medium to full-bodied wine is soft and yielding yet determined and firm at the same time. I just love the lavish intensity of the warm and balanced 2007 vintage.

Wine Enthusiast
Aromas of toast, bread crust and mature exotic fruit waft out of the glass. On the creamy palate, tangy acidity lifts ripe Golden Delicious apple, candied citrus zest, ginger and hazelnut, while a silky perlage lends finesse. It finishes on a honeyed mineral note.

Wine Spectator
An elegant sparkler, with a delicate, lacy mousse and vibrant acidity, featuring a finely meshed flavor range of poached white cherry, Meyer lemon preserves, grilled nut, toast point and ground spice. Long and racy on the saline-infused finish. Drink now through 2027.
Representing the topmost expression of a Champagne house, a vintage Champagne is one made from the produce of a single, superior harvest year. Vintage Champagnes account for a mere 5% of total Champagne production and are produced about three times in a decade. Champagne is typically made as a blend of multiple years in order to preserve the house style; these will have non-vintage, or simply, NV on the label. The term, "vintage," as it applies to all wine, simply means a single harvest year.
The southern part of Italy’s northeastern Alpine region, Trentino, produces quality wines from international varieties. But its most exceptional native variety, Teroldego, with plantings concentrated around the sandy, gravelly, limestone soils of its Campo Rotaliano district, makes a deep purple-hued red wine with scents and flavors of wild blackberry, herbs, espresso and cocoa.
