Intense ruby red, sparkling. The smells are those of red fruits, out of which Marasca cherry, typical of Sangiovese, seems to really stand out. The larger wooden barrels allow for a greater evolution in the balsamic notes and spiciness. In the mouth the tannins’ refinement balances the softness, making the wine harmonious and pleasantly persistent

This is very linear and tight with a fine and lightly muscular structure that runs the length of the wine and goes on and on. Medium-bodied, fresh and vivid. Firm, structured, cool and long. 90% sangiovese and 10% cabernet sauvignon. Better from 2027.

A tiny percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon has been added to this Sangiovese-based wine. The Fattoria le Pupille 2021 Morellino di Scansano Riserva shows an impressive level of fruit clarity with lots of freshness and a tightly knit, medium-plus mouthfeel.
