Description
Much more open, showing its extra complexity with ease and aplomb. Nicely shaped, properly constructed, completely super wine. Powerful, with intense aromas and structure, great aging potential.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2022 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru on this encounter was so pure and suave that one might have mistaken it for the Clos Saint-Denis. Offering up aromas of raspberries, cherries, sweet spices, orange zest and peony, it's full-bodied, supple and seamless, with a deep core of fruit, sweet, powdery tannins and a long, sapid finish. There is more underlying muscle and tannin here, however, and I would be surprised to see that assert itself a little more obviously in bottle.

This wine strikes a beautiful balance between power and elegance, with a core of ripe citrus aromas, complemented by delicate white wildflowers and a savory edge. Its freshness is striking, with bright acidity that accentuates a mid-palate of mushroom and alluvial stone, leading to a saline finish. Stunning now, it holds great potential for aging gracefully.

The 2022 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru has a very harmonious bouquet, with assiduous use of oak here that is seamlessly assimilated. It’s quite minerally compared to others, with impressive delineation. The palate is taut and fresh, notably citrus-driven on the entry before segueing into subtler, more exotic fruit toward the composed finish.

Vibrant lemon yellow. Hard to taste this after the Obediencerie. Rather dense on the nose, hard wood and backward. I rediscover the Clos character later on, at the back of the palate. Crisp intensity, but not quite the complete show at the finish.

Flavors of lime and white flowers signal this elegant white, which is driven by vivid acidity. The citrus theme continues through the long aftertaste, enhanced by floral and vanilla accents.
