    Winemaker Notes

"Potent and penetrating on the nose, with much raspberry and red currant fruit, very solid and deep on the palate with the dense texture and powerful tannins which characterize the variety..."
    -Wine Advocate

Ruby red in color with slightly amber lights and a strong vinous bouquet, with the scent of mature fruit. Soft and velvety, very harmonious, fullbodied, with just the right amount of tannin. Recommended with first course dishes, grilled red meats, game and mild cheeses.

    Di Majo Norante
The Di Majo Norante winery is located to the north of the Gargano in Molise on the estate of the Marquis Norante of Santa Cristina. This estate has been dedicated to the cultivation of vines since the 1800's.

In the 1960's a modern cantina was constructed and vines were replanted. Optimal exposure, constant breezes during the summer, excellent soil composition and a slope toward the Sciabolone and Madonna Grande valleys, blend together to create a particularly favorable environment for the production of wine.

Alessio Di Majo has hired renowned enologist, Riccardo Cotarella, as a consultant in order to ensure consistent, high quality production for all their wines. The Di Majo family is dedicated to producing quality wine at an outstanding value and practicing environmentally sound agriculture.

    Napa Valley

    Cabernet Sauvignon

    View all wine

The Napa Valley and Cabernet Sauvignon are so intrinsically linked that it is difficult to discuss one without thinking of the other. Although Cabernet has many important outposts throughout the wine world, nowhere else has it achieved such success (and, at the highest end, commanded such lofty prices) than in Napa. Here, it is responsible for bold, opulent, and dark-fruited wines with grippy tannins and a healthy dose of alcohol. The best examples can age for decades. Each of Napa’s smaller sub-AVAs imparts a different character to Cabernet, such as Rutherford’s famous dust or Stags Leap District's tart cherry flavors.
