Chateau Unang Cotes du Ventoux 2012 Front Label

Winemaker Notes

This wine has terrific character, particularly for its price. It's based roughly on 60% Grenache, then 30% Syrah, and the rest Cinsault. Depending on the year, the fruit tends to be in the blacker spectrum, and the aromatics tend to be strongly mineral.

Another beauty from this relatively undiscovered appellation, the 2012 Ventoux has a complex, lively and fresh bouquet of wild strawberry, sappy pine, underbrush and spring flowers. Medium-bodied, with good acidity and clean finish, drink it over the coming couple of years.
