Winemaker Notes

Very limpid color with silver reflections. White flowers and citrus aromas with lime notes. Beautiful tension and freshness with citrus aromas (lemon and grapefruit), exotic fruits (lychee) and white fruits.

Ideal as an aperitif, Terrasses white will match very well with vegetables appetizers, grilled fishes or seashells (cockles with chopped parsley and garlic ) and light cheeses (cheesy raviolis).

Blend: 40% Viognier, 20% Grenache Blanc, 20% Roussanne, 20% Clairette

Bright in fruit yet accented by a kiss of fresh basil, this juicy blend of Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Clairette hits the sweet spot. White-peach and grapefruit flavors are ripe but zesty, accented by hints of crushed stone and a lip-smacking salty finish. It's a fantastic value for an unoaked dry white with massive appeal.

Showing a bit more Viognier influence than usual, the 2020 Ventoux Terrasses Blanc is a tank-aged blend of 35% Viognier, 25% each Clairette and Roussanne, plus 15% Grenache Blanc. Boasting bold florals, plus stone fruit and tangerine notes, it's a plump, medium-bodied effort that's fleshy but fresh, with a vibrant, mouthwatering finish.

Full-bodied and flavorful, white Rhône blends originate from France’s Rhône Valley. Today these blends are also becoming popular in other regions. Typically some combination of Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier form the basis of a white Rhône blend with varying degrees of flexibility depending on the exact appellation. Somm Secret—In the Northern Rhône, blends of Marsanne and Roussanne are common but the south retains more variety. Marsanne, Roussanne as well as Bourboulenc, Clairette, Picpoul and Ugni Blanc are typical.
