Chateau Doisy Daene (375ML half-bottle) 2018
Doisy Daëne wine has a style of its own that privileges a bursting fruit concentrated by the "noble rot", strength, balance and subtlety of the flavors. The Doisy-Daëne style is all at once the expression of a great calcareous soil and a truly aesthetic family tradition, the one of distinguished white wines, of crystal-like purity, combining power and freshness, in an infinite youth.

Critical AcclaimAll Vintages
Silky texture, noteable gunsmoke and cigar box that deepens the complexity and sense of interest, set alongside the citrus fruits, lime blossom and soft spices. Has interest and sets itself apart. 30% new oak. Drinking Window 2021 - 2044
The 2018 Doisy-Daëne has a well-defined bouquet, a little reticent at first but opening to offer scents of wild honey, white flowers and orange blossom. The palate is medium-bodied with a ripe, viscous opening, very pure and full of tension, more so than other 2018 Sauternes/Barsacs. Very persistent on the finish. This is an excellent Doisy-Daëne. Drinking window: 2023 - 2048
Beautiful aromas of salted toffee, dried apple and pear follow through to a full body with pretty sweetness and brightness. Tangy and vivid. Drink or hold.
Stars of all styles of white wine in Bordeaux, the Dubourdieu family has produced a delicate, perfumed white. Apricot compote is layered with honey and acidity, giving the wine a fine lift. Textured and still young, the wine will be ready from 2025.
Barrel Sample: 89-92
