The current owner of the winery, a direct descendant of marriage Goikoetxea-Laiseka, planted in the 80s a vineyard with varieties Hondarribi Zuri and Folle Blanc, and is in the 90's when he decided to undertake the re-entry into the market, for which rehabilitates the old house and built the current Bodegas Virgen de Lorea, which owes its name to the image of the Virgin and Child, the sixteenth century, which in the past was patron of the village of Zalla, and exposed to worship at the shrine San Juan de Ormaza. In 1995 the own vineyard was expanded with the native varieties and has recently been reattached the old vineyard by a specialized team of international prestige.
