Pyrenees Varietal wines represent that special combination of widely acclaimed cool climate Pyrenees district vineyard characteristics and the winemaking skill to create wines where the true varietal character is best expressed.
Chardonnay is generally recognised as the worlds greatest white grape variety and it produces fine wines in many quite different viticultural districts. For this dry white, our winemakers have selected outstanding parcels of chardonnay fruit, grown in the Pyrenees district.
The wine is matured in two-to-three year old Chassagne Montrachet oak barrels. This has added complexity to the full fruit flavours and resulted in a dry white wine with considerable depth and subtlety.
The Blue Pyrenees Chardonnay has a medium straw with green tinges colour, and on the nose shows subtle toasty and peach / melon aromas with citrus
