Winemaker Notes
Beaumont Chenin Blanc was made from 100% Bot River estate fruit, capturing the full flavor and potential that our terroir has to offer. It is a delicious example of cooler climate Chenin Blanc fermented in concrete and stainless steel tanks. Dry, fresh and delicious!

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Bottled under screw cap, the 2020 Chenin Blanc is bright and zesty in the glass with floral citrus tones, underripe white peach and lime candy. Medium-bodied, a persistent stream of acidity drives the structure across the mid-palate with energetic citrus tones before concluding with a crisp, mineral finish. This has me daydreaming of fresh seafood. Grab a few bottles.

Wine
Beaumont is a charming, family-run farm and winery situated in the quaint Overberg Village of the Bot River region. The farm is home to the region's oldest wine cellar and is steeped in history dating back to the 1700's. Jayne Beaumont founded Beaumont Wines in 1974 with Raoul, her now deceased husband - a free spirited, somewhat infamous and larger than life character.
Jayne had always made small quantities of wine and therefore the decision to start a wine farm and business was in fact out of necessity – they needed a home to cultivate both passion and grapes. Their journey continued as they embarked upon the craft of making wine on the then Compagnes Drift Farm, since renamed Beaumont. The farm was completely transformed by hard work, a spirit for adventure and a proper dose of crazy.
In 2004, Sebastian Beaumont, having honed his skills working in vineyards, took over the reins in the cellar and has continued to build the Beaumont reputation. The flagship Chenin Blanc, Hope Marguerite, has received Platter 5-Star ratings four times.
