Lifted aromas of cassis, blueberry, bay leaf and dusty savory notes. Rich flavors of cassis, blueberry and chocolate lead to a medium body with leafy, tobacco like layers and fine grained, supple tannins.
Blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot
Grapes are estate-grown on what are today eighteen-year old vines in Alkoomi's gravelly-loam soil. Picked between 12.8° and 13.4° Baumé to build complexity and give depth. Maturation for 9 months in French Oak. Ready to enjoy now although will gain complexity over the next three to five years with careful cellaring.

Typically based on either Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot and supported by Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot, the best of these are densely hued, fragrant, full of fruit and boast a structure that begs for cellar time. Somm Secret—Blends from Bordeaux are generally earthier compared to those from the New World, which tend to be fruit-dominant.
