    Winemaker Notes

Clean and crisp has been the landmark of the best vintages of Adelsheims Pinot Gris wines, and with this 1999, we think weve produced a wine at least equal to our best. The winesap apple and bosc pear flavors are there in abundance, together with the spiciness (allspice and lemon zest?) so typical of Oregon Pinot Gris. For the first time in several vintages, the wine accomplishes a lovely balance of intensity and grace. We continue to be drawn to pairing this wine with poached salmon, as well as sheefish, bisques and spicy dishes.
