Winemaker Notes
Deep ruby red in color, it has a broad, complex nose with aromas of blackberry preserve, black pepper, licorice, vanilla and balsamic herbs. On the palate it is mouth-filling, rich and full-bodied, with velvety tannins that are nicely integrated with a pleasing sensation of freshness.
Ideal with grilled meats, rich pasta dishes such as pappardelle with mushrooms or with a white meat sauce, and with moderately aged cheeses.
