Winemaker Notes
Pale yellow in color with delicate greens hues. The complex nose is dominated by citrus and tropical aromas like mango, papaya and grapefruit peel, with nuances of light herbal notes and the typical crispiness that this variety shows in coastal cool climates. The palate is fresh and vivid, crisp and concentrated, very fruity with a salty mineral dimension leading to a lingering finish.
Perfect companion for fish, specially raw fish dishes like ceviche, tuna tiradito, carpaccio, sushi or with light sauces, oysters, scallops, salads, goat or blue cheese.

Vinous
The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc EQ Coastal comes from the Valle Hermoso vineyard in Casablanca. Aged for six months in old French oak barrels, concrete and stainless steel tanks, this greenish wine reveals herbal and lime aromas, with a faintly reductive layer. Dry and creamy, it lingers with a crunchy mouthfeel. It’s an intense and balanced coastal white, crafted in a cold vintage for the area.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Sourced from the Valle Hermoso Vineyard, the 2023 EQ Coastal Sauvignon Blanc attains an uncommon level of focus and tension for the Sauvignon Blancs of Casablanca. It was fermented and aged in a combination of concrete amphora, stainless steel barrels and neutral French oak. It opens with a radiant, linear nose of green orchard fruits and citrus blossoms, introducing a clean, polished palate with a refreshing, crunchy finish.

A pure sauvignon blanc, showing some mineral nerve and green fruit. Medium-bodied with elegant flavors and a tangy, mineral finish of medium length. From organically grown grapes with Ecocert certification. Drink now.
Capable of a vast array of styles, Sauvignon Blanc is a crisp, refreshing variety that equally reflects both terroir and varietal character. Though it can vary depending on where it is grown, a couple of commonalities always exist—namely, zesty acidity and intense aromatics. This variety is of French provenance. Somm Secret—Along with Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc is a proud parent of Cabernet Sauvignon. That green bell pepper aroma that all three varieties share is no coincidence—it comes from a high concentration of pyrazines (herbaceous aromatic compounds) inherent to each member of the family.
A region that has become synonymous with some of the best whites of Chile, the Casablanca Valley is full of dozens of bodegas who either grow fruit here or come from outside to source from local growers for their own white wine programs. The valley runs from east to west, which means that its westernmost vineyards receive the most cooling influence from the reliable afternoon sea breezes. The soils also tend to be heavier in clay in the west, whereas the eastern end of the valley is warmer and its soils are predominantly granitic. Sauvignon blanc thrives here, Chardonnay does well and Pinot noir is not uncommon.
