Batch Proof is a highly limited offering from Woodford Reserve, crafted from a standard batch of barrels that is presented before its final 90.4 proof bottling adjustment. This limited edition, Proprietary Batch of Woodford Reserve is bottled at 118.4 proof.
Batch Proof is crafted from Woodford Reserve barrels that are drawn from many different dates of production and matured in various warehouses and different floors within those warehouses. Batch Proof presents the complex range of sweet aromatics, fruit, spice, wood and grain characteristics that has become the Woodford Reserve trademark at its most original level.
Although Bourbon may be produced anywhere in the United States, it is most commonly associated with Bourbon County, Kentucky, where it has been produced since the late 18th century. Made from a mash bill containing at least 51% corn, the Bourbon Whiskey distillate must be aged in new, charred white oak barrels. Bourbon Whiskeys are bottled at eighty proof (40% abv) or higher and cannot contain any added color or flavor. A versatile spirit that can be sipped neat, with water or on the rocks, it also performs nicely added to cocktails like the Old Fashioned.
