The 2020 Plum Orchard is based on 48% Grenache, 23% Syrah, and the balance Mataro and Graciano, sourced from the G2, James Berry, and Kruse Vineyards. Aged 22 months in 70% new French oak, it has a terrific nose of peppery garrigue, black raspberries, and assorted floral notes, with just a kiss of smoked herbs. Full-bodied on the palate, it has a soft, supple, fruit-loaded mouthfeel, integrated tannins, and outstanding length. It’s already drinking nicely and should evolve for a decade.
