Wine Enthusiast
This blend of 43% Viognier, 40% Grenache Blanc, 14% Marsanne and 3% Roussanne shows a fascinating mineral tone, offering a grippy and yet still expressive wine. Aromas of Key lime and plaster of Paris lead into a dynamic palate of pink grapefruit pith, peach blossom and Rainier cherry, all set against a chalky backbone. Editors’ Choice.

A blend of 43% Viognier, 40% Grenache Blanc, 14% Marsanne and the rest Roussanne, the 2016 Cotes de Tablas Blanc is a straight up delicious, quaffable white that's ideal for drinking over the coming year or two. Pear, white flowers, hints of minerality and citrus all emerge from this medium-bodied, beautifully textured, yet lively and refreshing white.

Medium-bodied with great poise in the mouth, the palate is wonderfully minerally with a lively line delivering a long, refreshing finish.
Full-bodied and flavorful, white Rhône blends originate from France’s Rhône Valley. Today these blends are also becoming popular in other regions. Typically some combination of Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier form the basis of a white Rhône blend with varying degrees of flexibility depending on the exact appellation. Somm Secret—In the Northern Rhône, blends of Marsanne and Roussanne are common but the south retains more variety. Marsanne, Roussanne as well as Bourboulenc, Clairette, Picpoul and Ugni Blanc are typical.
