Gooseberry, grapefruit and tropical notes dominate the nose, with a hint of grassiness. The palate is round and quenching with citrus and melon flavors that finish long. New World freshness meets Old World texture.

The fruit for this Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from four vineyards at different corners of Santa Ynez Valley. Diverse soils, meso-climates and clones come together to bring what we believe is a true expression of Sauvignon Blanc in the Santa Ynez Valley. A combination of Old and New World winemaking techniques were thoughtfully used to bring out the grapes' full potential.

Early in his career, Ernst worked alongside his brother Hannes, who is also a winemaker. The projects on which they consulted pushed Ernst to think about winemaking in a way that would reflect on his passion for creative, smaller production, location-focused wines. After leaving South Africa and pursuing his career in California, his ideas began to take shape, and the foundation for Storm Wines was formed.

Rooted in the hills of Santa Barbara County, Storm Wines emphasizes old world influences and new world techniques.
