The 2019 Triple C begins in Alto Jahuel, a place with the ideal climatic and soil conditions for a fresh, elegant wine with tremendous complexity. In this blend, we aim to highlight the structure and firmness of the Cabernet Sauvignon that is
produced in this magical place and combine it with Cabernet Franc that contributes with its fresh aromas and firm tannins. To finish they use 15% Carmenere to obtain the perfect balance and a special blend that makes it unique. The 2019 vintage has an intense deep purple color. The delicate nose has black cherries, raspberries, dark chocolate and notes of cedar and tobacco. The tannins are firm and intense with great complexity that appear throughout the palate. This is a concentrated, elegant and well-balanced wine with good structure and enough depth to age well over the years to come.

The enticing nose offers red and black fruit aromas followed by herbaceous notes. Medium in weight, this blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc and 15% Carménère offers bright red fruit flavors, hints of toasted oak and a light fresh note of mint. It has firm ripe tannins, good acidity and a lingering finish.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Casa Real, from Alto Jahuel, spent 20 months in barrels, 83% of them new. Garnet red with purple sheen. The nose presents black currant, blackberry, cedar, balsamic and ashy notes from the aging process as well as orange peel, graphite, and a minty backdrop. The best qualities are the broad, polished tannins and the silky feel. Lingers at length at the back of the mouth, leading to a fruity, complex finish followed by an aftertaste of sour cherry.

Dried herbs with lots of spices, cassis and plums on the nose. This is a medium-to full-bodied red with nicely chewy tannins that will need a year to soften. Some good length. 45% cabernet sauvignon, 40% cabernet franc and 15% carmenere. Drink after 2023.

The 2019 Red Blend Triple C is a mixture of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc and 15% Carménère from Alto Jahuel, Maipo, and spent 18 months in 50% new barrels. Purple in hue. The fairly complex nose offers blackberry and black currant with hints of cedar and ash. The palate offers structure and firm tannins as well as a core of mildly intense flavor, while the fat makes for a slightly smoky backdrop that enhances the fruity character.

A classic among Chilean Bordeaux blends, Triple C is a blend of mostly Cabernet Franc with Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Maipo Valley, which Sebastián Labbé ages in oak for 18 months to achieve an intense, compact red with a rich, traditional character. The nose offers aromas of blackcurrant, liquorice and redcurrant with graphite notes, sweet spices and tobacco. On the palate, it’s juicy with a lengthy finish.

The floral, peachy and aromatic 2019 Triple C was produced with a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc and 15% Carmenere from Maipo with 13.9% alcohol, good freshness and balance. The palate is juicy and supple, with fine tannins and integrated oak; 50% of the wine matured in new barrels and the other 50% in used ones.
One of the world’s most classic and popular styles of red wine, Bordeaux-inspired blends have spread from their homeland in France to nearly every corner of the New World. Typically based on either Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot and supported by Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot, the best of these are densely hued, fragrant, full of fruit and boast a structure that begs for cellar time. Somm Secret—Blends from Bordeaux are generally earthier compared to those from the New World, which tend to be fruit-dominant.
The Maipo Valley is Chile’s most famous wine region. Set in the country’s Central Valley, it is warm and quite dry, often necessitating the use of irrigation. Alluvial soils predominate but are supplemented with loam and clay.
The climate in Maipo is best-suited for ripe, full-bodied reds like Cabernet Sauvignon (the region’s most widely planted grape), Merlot, Syrah and Carmenère, a Bordeaux variety that has found a successful home in Chile.
White wines are also produced with great prosperity, especially near the cooler coast, include Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
