Mister Fogg Navy Rum opens with a nose of dried fruit, orange peel, chocolate, and vanilla, finishing with notes of plum and caramel, while the palate is rich with smoked molasses and caramel, concluding with ripe fruit and a smooth, warm, and lingering sweetness.
Most often aged in heavily charred barrels for a longer period compared to other styles of Rum, Dark Rums are also produced entirely from caramelized sugar or molasses. This process yields some of the strongest and sweetest flavors that the spirits world has to offer. Dark Rums can serve as an excellent base for tropical cocktails, with the added spice and caramel notes casting an exotic edge to drinks like Daquiris and Hurricanes.
