Ocho Anejo Tequila
Gently aged for only one year in ex-American whiskey barrels, Tequila Ocho Añejo is an unparalleled sipping tequila. A moderate tinge from the barrels is enhanced by the maximum agave essence you taste in each glass. You really get a sense of the blue agave.
Critical AcclaimAll Vintages
A notably light and vegetal take on añejo. Look for a pale straw hue and mild, peppery aromas, plus a flinty hint. The palate mixes sweetness and pleasing salinity: salted almonds winds into bell pepper, asparagus and fresh herbs. Salted vanilla sweetness takes over into the warming finish. Aged one year in ex-American whiskey barrels.
The Tequila Ocho story begins in 2008, when two men with a love for agave spirits came together with the single goal of proving the concept of terroir exists in tequila, inspired by the heritage and process surrounding fine wine. The famed Carlos Camarena, a fifth-generation farmer and third-generation tequilero teamed up with Tomas Estes, the man responsible for bringing tequila culture to Europe. Together, they developed a tequila that is the purest expression of the blue weber agave; thus, Tequila Ocho was born.
