A rush of vanilla bean and roasted agave on the nose along with a touch of caramelized stone fruit. Medium bodied with subtle viscosity, fresh agave is washed into white pepper, bitter citrus and welcomed tannin. Fresh agave lead into roasted green pepper and dried herbs, boasting a nice hearty finish of roasted agave.
Using their proprietary blend of Los Sundays Blanco, they then rest in once used American Oak whiskey barrels sourced from Tennessee. It mellows in the barrel for just under twelve months, giving Los Sundays Reposado its characteristic full flavor with a refined agave finish.
At Los Sundays, they absolutely LOVE tequila and demand quality. They live to create with originality and deliver it all with style in mind. Born from their favorite day of the week and distilled in the heart of Jalisco, Mexico, Los Sundays delivers award-winning, sustainably farmed, 100% blue weber agave tequila, combined with original and relatable lifestyle branding to captivate and inspire a new generation of tequila consumers.
Los Sundays Tequila’s delicious flavor profile is created from a unique blend of the finest 100% Blue Weber Agaves sourced from both the highland regions, where the red clay soil nurtures a smaller, sweeter plant, bringing forward bright floral notes and the lowland valley regions in which natural water streams flow underneath rich volcanic soil, cultivating larger agaves with a balance of minerals lending earthier, more herbal notes.
The agaves used in Los Sundays are harvested between 8 and 10 years to ensure the highest quality plants which are slow roasted in traditional brick ovens and twice distilled for optimal smoothness and clarity.
Tequila Reposado refers to Tequilas that have been ‘rested’, or aged, in oak barrels for a minimum of two months but not more than one year. Depending on the specific flavors a tequilero wishes to impart on the spirit, a variety of different barrels may be used, from Brandy and Bourbon, to Wine and Sherry. The time spent on the wood allows Reposado Tequilas to mellow as they age, softening and rounding powerful flavor components brought by the agave and marrying them to subtle notes of caramel and vanilla brought by the barrel itself.
