Winemaker Notes
Deep red color with violet hues. Aroma of ripe fruit with elegant floral contribution (violet) and species, balsamic and complex notes. Aging in oak has achieved in this wine an exquisite combination, black and red fruit prevail in equilibrium with notes of vanilla, mocha, cloves. The mouth entry is sweet, good weight in the middle palate and great length. Th e tannic structure is excellent, prevailing soft and silky tannins.

Founded 130 years ago, La Celia is the oldest winery in the Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina.
It was the first winery in the region to plant the Malbec variety, which is currently the country’s signature variety around the world.
Eugenio Bustos, founder of La Celia, had received Malbec vines in a trade for the finest horse. And was the first to plant the variety –originally from France– in the Uco Valley.
As a result, Finca La Celia was born in 1890, named in honor of his daughter. Today, the tradition lives on in our wines which are the expression of a terroir that is unique to the world.
Most distinguished and celebrated from Argentina’s Mendoza, Malbec has seen runaway success since the early 2000s. Mendoza’s agreeable, continental climate with hot, dry summers and cold snowy winters allows the perfect conditions for growing outstanding Malbec. This grape is easy to like for its lusty, deep flavors and aromas of blackberry, plum, red cherry, autumn spice and tilled earth. It’s easy to find delicious, fruit-driven, affordable everyday examples and in prices beyond, quite exceptional ones with dense, supple textures that make them capable of aging.
